After your surgery We don´t vandage our patients. You may habe a little discomfort after the surgery, but it will be controlled by painkillers we will prescribe you. The biggest discomfort will be the pull sensation coming from the scar in the donor area. The stitches in that area will be removed 1 to 3 weeks after the surgery. Tiny punctures where every follicular unit was placed will be invisible very soon. Every micrograft will produce a little crust, that will fall by itself between the first and the second week. The donor site scar will be completely hidden by the hair. Is recommended to be quiet for 24. The second day you will be able to wash your hair, following the instructions we will give you. (taking very carefull of the transplanted area) At day 7 you will wash your hair the way you do every day (normal).Is advisable to not be expose to the sun. For the first 2 to 3 days, is advisable to sleep in 30 degrees (almost seated) to reduce the swelling and to help the recovery process. Is probable that you don´t see a visible swelling the first day, but at the second day your forehead could be very inflamed, and this swelling will go down to the eyebrows and eyelids areas. Don´t worry if your transplanted hairs fall. Is normal. Their roots are still healthy, but resting. Usually 80% of the transplanted hairs fall, but 20% that last don´t fall but remain non functioning. Is necessary wait almost 3 months before the follicles return to activate and see the hair growing in their new place, at 1 to 1,5 centimeters by month.
